More than meets the eye

I saw this photograph by Carol Jerrems (the one Juliet is so nicely holding), in the Art Gallery of New South Wales when I was 16. I brought the poster and the postcard. One of which has hung up in every room I've had since.

The reason I didn't put the original on?

Because I think I prefer this one. I've appreciated Vale Street #2 for the last 8 years. It's nice to see a little more of it. Like a deleted scene or an extra chapter if you will.

New York, I Love You (et Paris)

I feel in love with Paris.

I had my New York moment.

Now I'm waiting to fall in love with it again.

Back to the start

As a new month starts I've decided that I will put a little something on here everyday.

It will range form things I love already to things I will love in the future.

Let's see how long I will last.

The day the sparrows died and got crocheted...

Possibly my favourite piece of modern art.

Why?

Because it made me laugh. So hard I cired.

I guess killing and stuffing a bird just doesn't cut it in the art world.

You have to crochet it an outfit first. If said outfit is not available nail it to a wall, the next best thing.
