A twisted fairytale
A couple of pics from Alice Anderson's Time Reversal exhibition at the Riflemaker.
The whole thing was so unexpected that it felt somewhat magical.
Her film The Night I Became A Doll really did catch me off guard. Whether intentional or not it had definite paralells to Jan Svankmajer

I ♥ Mr Chu
These are a selection of photographs by the ever so simply named Mr Chu.
A Vietnamese photogrpaher based in Hue. His restrauntant called Mandarin is where I went to dinner on my 22nd birthday. The food was lovely. The wine tasted of vinegar.
What he manages to capture is the day to day life of Vietnam without being touristy and with an amazing use of light and colour. The majority of his pictures being tranquil and traditional.
To see more of his work head over to his website ... http://www.mrcumandarin.com/?cat_id=1
And if you do ever find yourself in Hue I recommend you pop by, even your not hungry, as the restaurant is covered from wall to wall in his work.
