Tim Burton lesson numero un: A poem can go a long way

This is an early short by Burton - made 3 years before I was born.

From the beginning he had a very distinctive look and although in this, he is yet to use some of his distinctive auteur traits, you get to see the ideas behind some of the characters in Beetlejuice and A Nightmare Before Christmas.

And who could forget the icing on the cake being the enchanting voice of Vincent Price.

Laurent's love lives on

A petite exhibition held in the Marjolle gardens in Marrakesh.

Simply put "Yves Saint Laurent mainly used collage when he created the "Love" posters exhibited here. Every year he would send them as new year's greetings to his friends and the clients of his fashion house."

Inspiration if ever i've seen it. Expect to see my own Love collage on here soon.

Same same but different

I recently watched A Single Man, which I really loved. As per my NY resolution I've been listening to the soundtrack which was composed by Abel Korzeniowski.

While listening I couldn't help but feel the hauntingly beautiful music sounded somewhat familiar in places. After listening again I realised that one of the pieces "And just like that" sounds (or at least I think) very similar (in places) to Javier Navarrete's "Pan's Labyrinth Lullaby".
