You'll find me at the end of the pier

Built in the 1800's Clarence Pier is one of Portsmouth's two piers. South Parade Pier being the other one. It differs from most piers as rather then extending into the sea, it runs parallel along the seafront.

Badly damaged in World War II, the pier got a revamp in 1960's. Part of which was the above pavilion building which houses amusements, Pirate Pete's (an indoor adventure playground) and a Wimpy.

After the success of Jurassic Park the pier saw it's own dinosaur themed ride called Jurassic 3001. Although the ride closed in 2004, the signage still remains. You can just make it out in the photograph below, in the top right hand corner.
